If you follow CHER on twitter then you will no doubt be familiar with the latest tweets surrounding her new album including that The Greatest Thing will be on the new CD along with most of the completed tracks being hardcore dance similar to Believe and Living Proof. Cher is not giving away too much in regards to what track might be her first single or when the album is going to be released. The release date is looking like early December with tour to kick off shortly after, however the first single could come much sooner.
A number of people both friends of Cher and music producers have also given helpful insights in to Cher’s new album.
Cher has allowed those very close including her sister, mother and very close friend Loree Rodkin to have a sneak peak of her new album material. Cher tweeted, “Loree [Rodkin] came over last night and I played three tracks! I was nervous – she’s tough! I put my favourite one on and hair rose up on the back of her neck – we screamed, she danced.” Awesome jewelry designer Loree Rodkin was totally impressed by Cher’s new tracks tweeting back ”Listening to her new tracks from new CD – Can’t wait for release… You’ll be on your feet!”, she continued later with ”Amazing! She outdid herself”. It is hard to Believe that Cher could pull off an album bigger than BELIEVE but the talk is that there is one MONSTER single on his album that will take the world by storm.
To further confuse the issue of The Greatest Thing, music producer RedOne answered a tweet ”How did the ‘The Greatest Thing’ come out with Cher and Lady Gaga?”. The music producer – currently in demand with mega stars worldwide and who produced The Greatest Thing replied with “Not happening its a shame!!!”. Now this is not to say The Greatest Thing won’t be released, Cher has already confirmed that this will be on her new album. However what may be the case is either The Greatest Thing has been binned as the first single or it will no longer be a duet with Lady GaGa. Given that Lady Gaga holds the publishing rights to this song Cher and her management may be very unlikely to want to release this song as the first single. That being said some say that Cher would be missing out on massive publicity by not teaming up with Lady GaGa, but lets face it, CHER does not need any help, she is the original superstar of our time.
Now as to the album title, it may still be very much undecided but we would like to hear your view on what the album should be called??? Maybe a title that reflects Cher’s continuous grit and determination in the music industry reflecting her comeback “You Haven’t Seen the Last of Me” or something totally unique and fresh? What do you think?
