Cher has overwhelmed excited fans by declaring her first tour in six years on twitter.
Cher’s last worldwide tour was her Living Proof: The Farewell Tour, which was supposedly the Divas final tour.
On twitter Cher said, “I’m approaching 80 and if I did that thing everyone does, come back in five years, I’d be driving around in one of those carts you know, the ones with the joysticks you see in Costco.”
Cher did return to the stage in 2008 until 2011 with her incredible Las Vegas shows, and has now told fans she will kick off a new tour in September (amended to Valentines Day 2013) if all is going to plan with the release of her new album (due before christmas 2012).
Via twitter Cher reveals she has just seen the sets for her new show, she writes, “Oh my God!! Just saw the sets 4 (for) the show!!! I cant show u (you) cause (sic) you’d never 4give (forgive) me! There’s so much magic I am breathless!
“No [expletive] I’m shaking! The whole set/look changes 4 (for) every song! I mean completing changes! Tour starts in Sept! (Cher has later amended that this tour will now start around Valentines Day 2013, after album release) First dates Kansas.”
Cher has also been recording her first studio album since Living Proof and the album is rumored to be released later this year with the first single to hit in OCTOBER 2012.

I watched her on stage when I was 4, in 1999 in norway. I have been a fan since i was just a little boy. Stood in my diepers and danced to believe. I was also going to her farewell tour, but she cancelled it the same day.. Don’t know why, I just hope she comes to Norway or countries near! Can’t wait!! She is the best ever, my biggest dream is just to see her one more time, or meet her!
Hey Joana…. I’m pretty sure this will be a World Tour eventually, but for now she’ll try and keep it an American Tour I’m sure, once she releases her new album I’m quite sure she’ll look more into World Tour.

Cher has mentioned her new stage which is fully mechanical and should change for each song. She has also asked her fans to come up with their favorite songs that she should sing. She has also said that she is planning to perform the song “Welcome to Burlesgue” onstage just in style of the movie with burlesgue dancers around her. Somebody suggested that she should sing YHSTLOFM, but she said “If I sing this song live, I might die.” She also said that she would like to sing 10 old songs and the rest of the song list (5 songs) should be her new ones. She has also said that she would like to perform in majority cities in which she performed during her “Believe” tour and added that Brazil is definitely on the list. As for her new album, Cher says that it is almost done. Besides the song “The Greatest Thing”, there will be a song called “Red” – the song is about a girl who is so pissed off that she sees red. Cher also insisted that some songs should contain “the Cher effect”, the auto-tune, that made her so popular. The only possible delay may be caused due to the fact that she asked Diane Warren to write a song for the album, but it stays unclear if she has written the song or not. Anyway, Cher says that the album might be out until the end of April or in May.

The tour will be a blast, I agree that Cher has gained weight, she should work out more and good choreography is also necessary… RedOne & David Guetta would be the most perfect producers for this album, I expect the hell lot of it, she hasn’t done one since the middle ages (read 2002)… So, it must be huge… And as for covers Eric, I think this Romanian song would be great in Cher’s style, not only the sound, but also the looks for sexy Cher, still rockin’ in her sixties – Wildboyz ft. I’ve been a Sonny & Cher fan since the beginning. Never missed an episode of the Sonny & Cher Show. Saw Sonny and Cher live 4 times, Sonny, once at the Latin Casino in Cherry Hill NJ. Saw Cher twice, the Believe Tour and the Farewell Tour. Took my daughter Katie along both times. Met Sonny Back stage in NJ and got Cher’s autograph as she was leaving hotel after concert. This time I will take my oldest daughter (32) along! Can’t wait!

I never had the chance to see Cher live in when she came Australia for her farewell tour as I was still in highschool.
I hope that share does another world tour or at least do some performances in selected countries, especially my city of Melbourne in Australia.

Oh sweet Lord, I can only hope and pray that Cher comes close to where I live on her next tour. I had the pleasure of seeing her “Farewell Tour” and I took my two daughters, who at the time were very young. Now, they are adults. Since then, I have had cancer of the vocal cord, have a trach, plus a feeding tube. The cancer is GONE, so I’m told and not allowed to drive due to epilepsy. However; I will PAY some one to take me to the concert. Please Cher, I can only pray that you come close to where I live, which is Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Louisville, Ky is about 45 minutes away, Lexington, Ky about 70 minutes away, and Cincinnati, Oh is about 2 hours away. So any of those would be GREAT!!!! PLEASE CHER, I BEG!!!! I love you so much.

I had the pleasure of seeing Sonny and Cher in toronto many moons ago. Then I saw her again after they separated, in Toronto and twice with her last tours. She is phenomenal and every show has been fantastic! She gets better and better every time. Her voice is impeccable and I plan on seeing her next year wherever I have to go. She ranks up there w Striesand as far as a lasting mega star goes. Her concertscare money well spent! I am quite excited to have this opportunity to see her a 5th time! Cher, I don’t know if you read these messages, but I hope you do. I have had the honor and pleasure of seeing you in concert FOUR times, one with Sonny, I was 16 years old. Anyway, I had the honor of seeing your Farewell Tour, which was wonderful. I want to see your new tour. Cher, I have been diagnosed with cancer of the vocal cord and after 33 radiation treatments, the cancer is GONE, praise God. However; after all of that, for some reason, 7 months later right after Christmas, my throat decided to swell shut. I could not breathe on my own. I am told that during surgery, the doctors were doing CPR, blew out both of my lungs, so I had to have tubes placed in each lung to get them going again. I was in the hospital, which I worked at for 24 years, for over a month, BUT finally got to go home. It’s been 2 years now and I still have a trach, sleep under oxygen and was just released from the hospital yesterday due to seizures. I swear if it’s now one thing it’s another with me anymore. Very depressing. Nevertheless, Cher, I want to see your concert ONE last. Therefore; I am asking; BEGGING, you to come to or close to Kentucky on your next tour. It would be so much appreciated. When my granddaughter was about 10 I took her to see Cher in concert and it was one of the most fun times we’ve shared. We agreed that when she graduated from high school, we were going(just the two of us) to see another Cher concert. we thought it would be in Vegas, no such luck. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for 2013.
I would love to see Cher in concert. I am 53 years old and have rocked my house many time with Cher’s music. She has inspired my life and I look forward to finding out where the concerts are going to be so that I can get tickets no matter where it is.

She is my favorite artist. I have not got a chance to see her in concert. I’m 54 and grew up watcching the sonny and cher show. I told myself I want to go to at least one of her concerts. Looks like I my get my chance with her doing a tour just it includes somewhere in south floods.

I had tickets to see Cher in 2008 when she was in Vegas on the second to the last night of her engagement at Caesars but just at the moment she was to come on stage it was announced she had to cancel……..totally disappointed. Flew out special to see her. Hope it doesn’t happen again!

I have saved for a long time so I can finally see you with my wife. I have seen Cher in concert live many times.. She is my total idol.. I had to miss her last concert in Las Vegas as a friend of mine passed away at that time. I really would love to see her again in concert. We are close to the same age so I grew up from the start listening to and loving her music and collect all her movies she was in. You go Girl (Cher)..

I just discovered Cher not that long ago (I didn’t even know she existed during her last tour and even if I did, I would have been to young to appreciate her),but it took one song and a half for me to know she was my favourite singer. Anyways, I keep checking to find out where she’s going to be passing and when, and I really hope I mange to get tickets, since it’s probably my last chance(all of our last chances, unless she decides to have another tour after this one). If anyone knows if there are tickets on sale right now, please tell me. Thanks!
