Cher confirms new album 2010 & tour 2011

The legendary Cher made a rare public appearance in Hollywood on Thursday night (April 22).
Joined by longtime pal Hugh Hefner, the Las Vegas queen attended the TCM Classic Film Festival Vanity Fair after party for A Star is Born held at trendy celeb lounge Kress.

Dressed in jeans and a metallic snake skin blazer and looking fit as a fiddle, Cher seemed like she hasn’t aged a bit.
Cher confirmed she is in the final stages of working on a rock album.
Her rep confirms that the new album will be released later this year and will include two versions of the album. The standard version has 14 songs while the Deluxe Edition will include 19. Her rep says: “This is going to be by far the most successful album Cher has recorded in her 45 year career.”

When interviewed by Vegas Weekly, the 63-year-old icon confirmed that there will be a new tour after her residency at Caesars Palace expires. “You know, I never thought I would ever consider touring again but I miss it. I really do.”
She is set to release her new single “Already Been There” at the World Music Awards in 2011.

In the meantime, Cher will combine her acting and singing skills in the upcoming film Burlesque, a contemporary musical in which she’ll star alongside Christina Aguilera.

They stated Best Cher album Ever….I bet it won’t be all electronica, I’m sure it will have many types of music on it. Some Rock, Dance, Ballad, and maybe some interesting interludes, If your thinking Jesse James, then made a bit country, Hmmmm considering she just made an appearence at the Country music Awards.

Well done Cher for all the success you have made in 45 years. Another Rock album, well this has got to be amazing. I love one of her rock album’s ‘Heart of Stone’, but I do hope that Cher makes an even better album than that!!!!!!!! Go on Cher Rock on!!!!!

I think she needs to do an album and have the entire album be full of songs that reach out to people, some gospel, contry, pop, rock and dance. I would be a best seller. Like I said a few Country, Gospel, Pop, Dance and Rock songs! She needs to title it something like “I’m Back”. She needs to relese a country song, pop song, gospel song, Rock song and dance song as a single. That’s 5 HITS!

To think about it. She never was away, and I think it’s Strange that sometimes she is having a label of the next Cher “Comeback”
The real truth is that the last decade she was touring the world for over 3 years, and took a break, a well deserved break,. And while on that Break we saw her out and about at different Fashion shows, Parties, even the Malibu Fair. Dabbled in Some Property buying/selling/remodeling. Then Began a mega show at Ceasers palace, then filmed a movie, and probably has started bits and pieces of the next album.
She has not been down and out of radar, she has had a huge fanbase, and has gotten paid millions of $$$. in the meantime. Just because she has not had tons of radio play does not mean much at all. She has been Extremely active!!! Compared to some of the Hit makers of todays radio (Who a handful probably won’t be around in 40+ years.
I hope instead of the Cher Comeback…..It should be re worded as the “Cher Continuation”, because that is really what it is.

First of all Liz Rosenberg is her Pr person and has nothing to due with Warners. Liz has confirmed that all this is going to happen. there has been alot of talk that the single will be released in May and performed at the world music awards May 18th. The album, the movies are all going to hit at once at the end of the year. If you guys know Cher and i am sure you do. Remember when Moonstuck, suspect and witches hit along with the album……..Same thing this year. She is going to hit all at once…now maybe the album wont be out until early 2011 because we all know cher likes to move things around, BUT TRUST THIS IS ALL GOING TO BE

i don’t understand they said the album will be released at the end of this year but the single will be released at the 2011 world music awards i thought the song comes out before the album? sometimes this stuff sounds like a lie just like they said the album would come out at the end of last year and the year before that and they said it would be kind of a country album this sounds fishy i mean i can see her doing a rock album she has before but country idk about that for a big return i can see her doing dance or rock not country…

I believe there’ll be a new album but I agree its a bit weird to release an album this year and not perform the new single until next year. However I have read on other websites that Cher is set to perform at the World Music Awards this year next month.
