Cher Las Vegas Concert Review
The curtain raised in spectacular fashion for Cher’s long awaited Las Vegas Caesars Palace Opening Concert.
Step into the theatre and you literally are inside a cyber CHER world (kind of like this website Cherworld.com). Moving galaxies, stars and the gradual build up to a Cher explosion. The Cher mega mix blows it’s horn and you know that you are in for a roller coaster, musical filled ride, full of costumes, dancers and one night with the queen of glitz herself.
Exploding from all angles of the spectacular stage Cher rises dressed in a vegas gold/silver feathered costume and matching headpiece of course, sings her opening number… the traditional “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For”. At age 62 and in her prime the song brings new meaning.

Cher Cleopatra, the new queen of Vegas then sings “Song for the Lonely” and claims the stage as “Cher does Rome!” While she leaves for a costume change, a flash from the past as Laverne (from Sonny and Cher) sings a Sammy Davis Jr hit, “I Gotta Be Me”.
A leather strapped Cher re-appears to sing “All or Nothing” and “I Found Someone”, this time as a brunette with highlights. Surrounded by an army of dancers and her voice… amazing. The crowd gives a monstrous applause waiting for Cher’s next move.
A storm brews, thunder… acrobatics, ropes and new stage appears and Cher with horns…and her dancers as animal like creatures! Cher sings a timeless classic “Love is a Battlefield”.
Vintage Cher erupts with the Sonny and Cher hit, “It’s the Little things” in an emotional tribute to Sonny, along with a vintage clip. Cher sings the “Beat Goes On” with dancers spotted in the black and white vintage Cher 1960s outfit, Cher in a skimpy red glitzy mini dress (OMG how can this woman be in her 60s) continues with “All I Really Wanna Do”. Cher jokes, my closet is like the “Grand Canyon”
The set changes once more as a gypsy theme with Cher emerging from a fortune teller wagon. This time in another over the top vegas feathered costume singing “Half Breed” and back into the gypsy wagon for another change of costume. A gypsy styled Cher comes out to sing “Gypsys Tramps and Thieves” and “Dark Lady”. The stage a sea of colour!
The mood changes to a disco party with dancers dancing to the YMCA and shake your groove thing. The host of the party arrives, this time in a light up purple/blue costume, Cher sings “Don’t Leave Me This Way” and then reveals a sexy blue outfit to sing “Take Me Home”.
The concert is like a whirlwind, so much to take in, so many changes in costume which we will showcase at Cherworld.com soon! After another Sonny and Cher moment, Cher breaks through a crystal ball globe dressed in a 1982 Las Vegas outfit with flower sequins lining one side of her head. In typical Cher style she BELTS out “Love Hurts” and “The Way of Love”.
The usual movie clips are shown and in her white floor length fur coat Cher sings “After All”, it was another classic Cher moment. A quick change into groovy jeans and blonde wig and Cher sings “Walking in Memphis”, then “Shoop Shoop”.
The legendary leather strapped Turn Back Time Cher re-appears surrounded by dancers in leather. She sings “Strong Enough” and “If I Could Turn Back Time”, skipping around the stage she was full of energy!
As expected Cher ends her spectacular Las Vegas concert with “Believe” in a silver sequined outfit, dangling from each her arms and wearing a white and silver wig that makes her look like a goddess! Confetti and streamers ends a remarkable concert.
After the show fans were left mesmerised.

i am sure cher’s concert will outdo any that has been in a vegas show! she would expect no less of herself. cher is the ultimate performer on all levels!!! my only wish is that she will have another number one hit for this decade…….and of that i am sure she will!! long live cher!!!

so excited cher is back and looking/sounding great!! im from London UK and will be going to see her next year!! The set list is very similar to the believe and farewell tours! but cant wait to see all new costumes and all new cher!!! good luck with everything CHER! x

I’m a big Cher fan, but I’m sorry, this set list is disappointing. With a few exceptions, the setlist is practically the same as the farewell tour and the Believe tour. How many times do we need to hear After All, The Way of Love, and that stupid Shoop Shoop song? Why not perform songs that she hasn’t sang live in forever like Love & Understanding, Save Up All Your Tears, or something she’s never performed live like Alive Again or Paradise Is Here? I mean, come on. Mix it up some.

Me and my Boyfriend are going to see the show for our honeymoon!! It will be the real highlight of the highlight of my life!! Bless you Cher!!x

I LOVE You CHER! Your voice is GORGEOUS, your costumes FANTASTIC and your smile STUPENDOUS! I know you will manage to get some MIRACULOUS recordings done IN SPITE of the CRAZY-BUSY schedule eventually. We will be patient. I hope I look as YOUNG as YOU FOREVER and…My Mom had to go into the hospital today but I will play my OLD favorites MANY that aren’t EVEN OUT on Commercial CD — and will wait for your BEAUTIFUL CONTRALTO to records some new HITS FOREVER!!! Aw, this was a really quality post. In theory I’d like to write like this too – taking time and real effort to make a good article… but what can I say… I procrastinate alot and never seem to get something done.
