Cher attends LA Party with Goldie Hawn
Cher, 62, joined a host of celebrities attending the Slumdog Millionaire/ The Wrestler awards party in Los Angeles and spent most of the evening chatting to fellow celebrity Goldie Hawn.
The Sixties icon matched her long, flat, black hair with a pair of bondage-style PVC thigh-high boots, sequinned skirt and plaid shirt. Perhaps Cher’s newfound sense of style can be attributed to her positive outlook on life since President Barack Obama took office.
She said: ‘He is totally the right person for this position. He brings something more in his spirit and there is something about him that instils trust in me.
‘The Republicans nearly killed me. My spirit is renewed, this is such a great time to be an American.’
She also advised any Republicans living in America to move abroad.
She said: Republicans: why would you want to be one, especially if you’re a minority. I wish they would go somewhere else.’

Wow, I have not seen such a tasteless outfit for ages. I usually love Cher´s way-over-the-top costumes, but this is too much. I would not wear that shirt at home nor somewhere else. I´d like to see her in a hot gown rather than this. But this is Cher in a nutshell. I also have to say that I prefer when she´s wearing a wig cuz her real hair does not look fine rather damaged.

Cher to be Enchanted
Cher will direct a film version of Arthur Pinero’s The Enchanted Cottage. According to the New York Daily News, the diva will not only direct the film but she will star in it as well. Pinero’s story involves a homely maid and a disfigured ex-GI. The two meet at a cottage and agree to marry. While they originally bond solely out of loneliness, the magic of the cottage begins to work on the couple, and they soon begin looking beautiful to each other. The play was originally brought to the screen in 1924. A remake of that film was produced in 1945. Dorothy McGuire starred in the 1945 film opposite Robert Young. No word as to star opposite Cher. This project will mark the multi-talented actress’ feature directorial debut.

I still wonder what happened to the tv movie “Mame” this is probably the most perfect role for her at this time. But i am not complaining two possible film’s in the works is excellent. And Cher next time you go shopping on Melrose let me know, cause I know where you got those boots…..

thanks Matty, this is amazing news to me. I kept thinking what the hell is wrong with these casting directors that they would pick Meryl Streep to do a musical about an Italian family when they could have picked someone like Cher,. who also happens to be a singer? She isprobably the only singer of her stature that has never done a musical, unless you count “Good Times” which I don’t ! No offense to Meryl but that was the worst casting I have ever seen. I don’t know what the hell is wrong with Cher, I mean that in the kindest way of course, but she turns this down and does crap like ‘Stuck on You’ . I know she said she never wanted to play a mother again but this is ridiculous. Her film career is in the toilet and she turns down a major motion picture and a musical too. F’ing amazing! It
