I really DONT like this makeup! I mean for the show is ok, because there´s a big distance between the audience and her, but even for a DVD (Farewell Tour) it´s too much, you just see wigs and make up, and what we want to see is CHER, and ok, wigs and make up are part of her, but kmon, she has to be there, i mean SHE has to be there… This pic is terrible, I see her really tired, sad, like if she was hidden under a big mask… (also in the ET video) but hopefully it´s just a period, i mean, i´m sure we will see her as we all want to see her. It´s interesting the way she use make up when she is not on tour (really soft in pink in the eyes, big eyelashes and bright on her lips) and being on tour it´s like “hey! let´s put everything on”
Still, she is performing like allways, she is in great shape, and we are just lucky to have her! I´m so happy that she is coming back to cinema and recording an album even if it´s not new stuff, I always loved “It´s a man´s world” and some songs are not new stuff but she made it “new” so… great! If it´s good for her, it´s good for us!

HELLO! Are you people nuts?! This is her stage makeup! I don’t know if any of y’all have ever worked on stage before, but the amount and type of makeup you have to wear leaves you looking, up close, like a weirdo! But the effect it has for the stage is perfect. No one in show business would ever walk around or get photographed in their stage makeup. But Cher always seems to. And the reason her eyes and lips look so strange is because she over-lines them with a whit pencil before applying the makeup to make them look larger. A huge problem actors and singers have when doing a stage production is having their eyes and lips disappear. But, yes, she looks stranger than ever, but she rarely gets photographed this up close withe her stage makeup on.

Hi Cher, and fans. Celine looks terrific, Cher you look kinda strained and awkward? It could well be the makeup you have on Cher is for your performance, but you just don’t look relaxed or happy! Anyway, what the hell, you are still a brilliant singer and performer, to hell with it all. I would add though Josiah Sean, that there are many photographs of Cher both from her Farewell Tour and of course Las Vegas, all with stage make up on and having bought several of them, I have to say, she did look much happier and different in those to what she does in this one. I have been reading all the comments here, and really those are not so nice or kind comments about someone else! If people don’t know Cher have 62, nearly of 63, so what is the matter with all that stuff about make up and bla bla bla???? I don’t want to sound rude, but those comments about this woman who been working on so long are not so nice really! I would love to see most of people with one carrear with 45 years old, and if you all would had that i would like to see, how you all would act… Being on stage it is not a easy thing, cher have been made some procedures at her body, and so she cant take sun for tan her skin. Did everyone knows why her body looks so young??? Its because of body lifts and treatments of youth… Yes, but we can accept that, because on music world and for feed one carrear so long like this it is hard but even that way, she looks like a mature woman, of course more young than she would, but a mature woman. We should look to her job, to her carrear, and cher make a stage full… It is not like Madonna, very diferent really, you go to see cher and her voice and her show. Madonna you go to see the show, not really the voice, but the dance yes!

As someone who has been on the stage and directed before, I can tell you that stage make-up does make you look ‘different’ in close-up pictures.
Due to the intense lighting on-stage, heavier make-up is used for all performers on-stage. So, after a show when you do meet and greets or take photos like Cher did with Celine Dion, you have what’s known as the ‘clown look.’
There is nothing wrong with Cher. She just got off stage and it’s probably not even 30 minutes after the show and she hasn’t had a chance to take off her make-up yet.
And as far as her tired look, have you not read the reviews of how intense the show is? I’d surprised if she didn’t look exhausted after a show like hers. As Cher fans, you should all know that Cher puts 1,000% into every song on-stage and that anything but is simply not acceptable. She just worked her butt off for a 90 minute show so give her a break!

Hey guys, the thing with stage make-up is really true. I work as an image maker for MAC cosmetics in Germany these days and I can tell that if you are on stage you need full coverage make-up. Lights and cameras are eatards of make-up. That is why we do not use fluid make-ups, but full coverage make-ups that are solid. These make-up have a big advantage. They are based on a wax formula and they manage to cover everything, included are wrinkles, circles round the eyes or acne. On stage people wearing such kind of cosmetics look really great. Their complexion is fully covered, having no mistake. Unluckily, this is at the expense of the fact that your face looks like a mask. So if you get off the stage and you are in personal contact with people, it is really inappropriate, cuz your face is looking just like a dead mask. It is obvious that this photo is taken right after the show. Cher just did not have enough time to wask this thick layer of make-up away and replace it with a common fluid one. ronysek1@seznam.cz

Not the best photo of Cher but still great to Cher and Celine together. I have ONE problem though, saw videos of Cher in Vegas recently doing the Walking In Memphis number and couple other songs, wearing EXACTLY same clothes as the Farewell Tour when she did that song, blue jeans, blond wig and white top exactly the same, C’mon, same intro video as farewell tour, same clothes…I wanna see her in Vegas but aint gonna waste money if its SOOO similar to Farewell Tour, Im a HUGE Cher fan, but get dissapointed by this…just my opinion, so please dont start all biting my head off!! I LOVE Cher. Saw her Farewell tour 4 times, and saw her in Vegas in October. As a makeup Artist, I cannot understand why Cher and her Makeup crew insist on this god awful pink eyeshadow. Even when Cher goes out on the town, or does interviews, her lids are smeared with this disgusting pink mess. Try browns, silver, or navy blue. Cher you are so beautiful, play up your natural brown gorgeous eyes.

I get annoyed when people moan at other people for givin their opinions, pack it in!!! I agree with the majority by saying, OMG!!! She looks ridiculous. PLEASE stop being SO vain Cher!!! you never needed surgery in the first place, so stop it. Whether you believe it or not, her eyes look so different because she’s still got her stage make up on! That’s all. The article says Celine met her DURING the show! I find it funny how people can’t believe it’s just make up but would rather believe she’s had surgery on her lower eyelids!!!! It’s white eyeliner, which is a trick to make your eyes appear bigger, which is exactly what you need to do under stage lighting. C’mon guys look beneath it all…..AMAZING bone structure, BEAUTIFUL skin, and then compare that to the younger woman stood next to her!!!!

Also, most likely someone who gay bashes or is outspoken and homophobic might be trying to cover up the fact that they themselves are gay. That happens a lot. it really is someone’s personal business why they have plastic surgery or not. I really don’t give a damn, Cher’s voice and her talent far out weigh anything she has done to her face. I did mention the eye job because that is what it looked like to me, I could be wrong. But what if I am not? she has admitted to a nose job, face lift, a breast job, and even had her ass lifted. Is it so far fetched that she might have had her lower lids done too? But really some of you are so full of shit, half of what you talk about is how she looks that’s all you seem to care about. Maybe if you all stop concentrating on her body parts she might not feel so incline to have all these surgeries to keep you lot happy.

well i am TOTALLY against plastic surgery, and i am totally sure that these hollywood women such as Cher, Demi Moore, Pamela Anderson, Dolly Parton, Prescilla Presley and a million more are having a HUGE negative impact on how average women feel about their own bodies, and so i think that these famous women should not be doing this because it is without a doubt, making women think about unnecessary operations. look at Kanye West’s mother for example!!! Cher started off with a perfect body, and yes it is her decision to do what she wants, but it is selfish not to think about what sort of damage this can do to other women. you lot are big Cher fans, and i once was until i started to realise she was a little annoying, but any average person on the street would not say that Cher’s face even looks good for her age, apart from massively air-brushed promotional photos, but her real life, non-make up photos look awful. yet people like the amazing Dionne warwick looks just like how a more mature woman SHOULD look. so yes, i like cher, but all the surgery, all the lack of music, the silly las vegas concerts (because most fans can’t get to it!!!) and her rather stupid attitude just really piss me off now lol. especially as i live in a country she hasn’t even bothered to make a proper appearance in for years!!! she just strikes me as rather selfish and money-grabbing

She just looks wore out, She is working with 2 charitys right now,green train I believe, Just finished the Elephant deal in LA, Recording a album, making a movie AND doing a Las Vegas Show… That would tire us all!!.. As for Tina Turner..she is good I admit that give credit where it’s due. With out Cher and Tina female performers wouldn’t be where they are today!!.. BTW orange or pink shadows anywhere on the face (makeup) on the stage under lights appear a brown shade which contours the face…I love Cher is the best and the orignal.No one can compare in any way to her, But I love the black hair on her. i still genuinely believe that cher looked better before any surgery including her nose and teeth, and i think she would look much better today without any surgery, and anyone who disagrees with that must think that cher isn’t naturally beautiful. and for the record, i’m not homophobic, i know plenty of gay people BUT what i’m saying is that cher always appears lately to be catering mostly towards gay fans and not others, especially male straight fans and that’s annoying for the likes of me. i hate her last two studio albums apart from one or two songs, and i don’t like her farewell tour or believe tour and i don’t like stuck on you or tea with mussolini so i basically dislike everything she has done in the last 13 years, and that’s why i’m starting to realise that i’m beginning to dislike her. i also HATE not.com.mercial due to her swearing in it!!! she sounded silly!!! and as you can gather, i really don’t like how she looks, and haven’t done for the last 13 years!!!

My friend Anna worked at Bob Macki’s shop here in the Valley in Los Angeles, she said Cher would come in sometimes even without makeup on and looked beautiful! She firmly pointed out to me that she didn’t care what anyone or the tabloids say or said. She saw her up close in person without makeup and she said she was beautiful!
Plus the Bad pictures that are floating out there, how does anyone know they are not doctored by photoshop. Could be lies. Anyone who knows how to use photoshop knows how easy it is to edit a photo like that.
But Untill you see someone with your own eyes, and have actual “Living Proof” Then you don’t have anything back up what you say.

anyone can criticise me for giving my opinions, but i can’t believe that someone would wish death upon a specific person. That is just wrong. if that person has children, and they grow up to be my age (16 years old) then i’m sure that they would get deeply upset if someone wished death upon that child. that is beyond un-called for!!!

omg everybody is talking about how bad her makeup is. and everybody is saying she is wearing to much. Did any of you think that this is the make up for her show. i saw her and im 99.9 % sure that she just got done doing a show and she is prob rlly tired from doing it.She says that the vegas weather effects her throat and i bet that she is just tired after the show. You have to think she just ran around on stage for an hour and a half singing songs and i bet her throat hurts. So people be nice. Id like to see one of you guys do that 3 times a week and then take a picture of you and see how you look. I bet u would look tired too:)

i didn’t even realise you had said anything jason lol. i have read her book, the first time, but it’s not that great in my opinion lol. i hope she eventually brings out another book one day!!! Anyway, what i mean by not liking anything she has done for the last 13 years, is that the last decent thing she did in my personal opinion is it’s a mans world and if these walls could talk. i like nearly everything she has done prior to that but i haven’t liked anything she has done since that. i’m a rock fan you see, and so i don’t like her dance music. i like cher mostly because of her 3 geffen albums, mask and her mirage concert. i like most of her 60′s and 70′s stuff too. i just think she’s changed abit since believe so i’m kind of going off her, i just want her to bring something out!!!!!! i hate her rod stewart duet too. i bought his whole album about 3 years ago JUST for that song and i was SOOOOOO disappointed. i want another rock album!!! or at least something like jesse james

I really do not think this matters! I actually think this photo is fine. If she forgot to put on makeup when she went to a spa, would you act like a person who never has seen the sun in your whole life or would you even call the FBI? thats just stupid. If you had a chance to see Cher without makeup would you say no because she looks horrible? She could of always put on new makeup if she wanted, but she choose not to so stop it. Treat her like a normal person. If you saw a picture of your friend and she looked like a hobo would you tell her she looks like a hobo? Of course not! She does not need to be judged critizied by some humans, she need support from fans not judging.
